Happy Turtle!

The BEST Metal to Metal Glue?

Right now, I'm using E6000 for my assembly. It works fine for small details, but I'm not 100% impressed with it's durablity for construction on pressure points. Attatching findings like pinbacks, ring bases and cufflinks makes me a bit nervous. Thank G-d I've never heard of any of my work breaking, but I live in fear of it.

I'm looking for a product with "high shear strength", which will stand up to heavy daily use. I've been looking into "2 Ton" two part epoxies, but I'd like to hear some other opinions if anyone would care to share.

I've tried to Google, but the comparisons are either price comparisons, or they are abstract papers written for the industry, and are complete mysteries to me. Of course every adhesive I looked at calls itself "the best, the strongest, the only glue you'll ever need", so that's no help at all.

I'd like to stay away from "superglues" because of the "frosting" effect, and the fact that I'm highly prone to gluing my fingers together. I'm looking for something that is fairly thick and sticky, with an open time of 10 to 30 minutes.

Liquid Steel?
Gorilla Glue?

Pick your poison and tell me about it!
